Richard Savage is an associate with Gall Legge Grant & Munroe LLP, where he practices litigation, employment and labour law. Richard articled with Gall Legge Grant & Munroe LLP prior to joining the firm as an associate in 2014.
Richard’s areas of experience include compensation, assessment and prevention matters before the Workers’ Compensation Board and Workers’ Compensation Appeal Tribunal. Richard has appeared before the Provincial Court, Federal Court, Canadian International Trade Tribunal and various provincial tribunals.
While at law school, Richard summered at WorkSafeBC as a Review Officer, adjudicating the review of compensation decisions. At law school, he volunteered at the Community Legal Clinic and founded the All Obiter Club and UBC Law Wine Club.
Prior to attending law school, Richard worked as a real-estate appraiser, appearing on assessment issues before the Property Assessment Review Panel and Property Assessment Appeal Board.
In his spare time he enjoys the outdoors, hiking, biking, skiing and competing on his “championship” recreational-league Ultimate team.
