David Penner practices in the firm’s litigation and labour and employment groups. He has represented clients before the BC Provincial and Supreme Courts, the Federal Court of Canada, and administrative tribunals. He has assisted in a broad range of litigation including contract and business disputes and matters involving constitutional, administrative, and labour and employment law.
Prior to attending law school, David lived in Seoul, South Korea, where he taught English to adults for nearly three years. While in Seoul, David developed curricula and edited several textbooks for the Korean market. He studied and achieved intermediate fluency in Korean.
While in law school, David volunteered with several student-run programs including the Law Students Legal Advice Program, Legal Education Outreach, and the Asia Pacific Law Club.
Prior to his call to the bar, David was a published writer, including a piece he co-wrote for the Toronto Star.
In his free time, David enjoys cooking, bicycling, and improving his play of Go.
